strengthen the quality of your creative attention

We will begin with a 10-15 minute guided processes to get your embodied and creative juices flowing, followed by open practice time to dive into your project, closing with an invitation to reflect on your process with the group.

"It felt like a place where we all came together (maybe not physically in the same space, but with like-minded intentions) to strengthen the quality of our creative attention. It's like what they say about children needing time to feel 'bored' so they can be more creative. Bored isn't the right word, but maybe 'unoccupied', or in a state where your mind is allowed to wander and to play, like recess for the subconscious - time for neural pathways to interact more randomly or fluidly and to make unexpected cross-connections.

I appreciated the creation and experience of a safe, focused space in which to explore and be with my creative practice. I enjoyed hearing what other people shared about their insights, uncertainties, etc and to see them being 'real' - being willing to show some vulnerability and struggle as well as happy discoveries.

I liked having a dedicated time to be in a personally creative mode, removed from the usual cloud of distractions, and to be there long enough to allow the experience, the readings, thought processes, etc sink in and come into a more solid being. The quotes that you read left more of an impact in this context (vs if we came across them in a social media news feed) because time was taken to prepare the ground, plant some seeds, and then the space to permit unexpected things to happen.
