I received a request this week:
"I'm looking for short Feldenkrais lessons to regulate my nervous system."
The first lesson that popped into my mind was the Bell Hand. Someone was just telling me it made their whole day better! It’s short and sweet taste of a whole body of lessons, a fractal of something much bigger...
Everything opens and closes
Everything opens and closes---and when you connect to your own rhythm of opening and closing your hand, it touches some deep later in the brain / system, and can bring about a re-ordering / re-syncing / re-balancing. In this iteration I layer in some inspiration from JKA, Organic Intelligence® and creative process, to support the integration of the Feldenkrais lesson.
POSITION: Lie on your back on the floor or in bed. You can also adapt this lesson to do in multiple positions.
